A systematic review (SR) summarises the results of available carefully designed healthcare studies (controlled trials) and provides a high level of evidence on the effectiveness of healthcare interventions.

In this workshop learn about:

  • Hierarchies of evidence
  • Planning your SR search
  • Subject and keyword searching in Medline (and/or Embase, Ovid Emcare) and the Cochrane Library
  • Using MeSH/Emtree, explode, focus
